NOV 5TH: Author and Speaker Diana Butler Bass

The Kenan Center and First Presbyterian Church of Lockport proudly present author, speaker, and independent scholar of American religion and culture, Diana Butler Bass. The event takes place at 3:00 p.m. in the Kenan Center Taylor Theater. Dr. Butler Bass is the author of nine books including Grounded: Finding God in the World, Christianity for the Rest of Us,, Christianity After Religion, and others. She regularly speaks at conferences, consults with religious organizations, leads educational events for religious leaders, and teaches and preaches in a variety of venues. She writes at The Huffington Post and The Washington Post and comments on religion, politics, and culture in the media including USA TODAY, Time, Newsweek, CBS, CNN, FOX, PBS, and NPR. A booksigning and reception will follow the lecture in the Kenan House. Advance reservations are $10 for general public/$5 for students and can be made online by using the secure Paypal link, below.
